The Town of Rugby in Warwickshire joins the HeartSafe® Network

The town of Rugby in Warwickshire has become HeartSafe®Rugby Borough Council has installed two Public Access Defibrillators (PADs), one outside the Town Hall and the other outside the Visitor Centre at the Art Gallery and Museum - for Sat Nav users the post codes are CV21 2RR and CV21 3BZ respectivelyPictured above are Sean Lawson of Rugby Borough Council and Cllr Sally Bragg with the PAD outside Rugby Town Hall.

Cllr Sally Bragg said she was delighted the Council had joined the HeartSafe® network which promotes the installation of PADs across the country.  She added "Every minute counts when treating someone who has suffered a heart attack.  Defibrillators substantially increase a patient's chances of survival and the PADs situated at the front of the Town Hall and the side of the Visitor Centre can be used by the public in the case of an emergency".
