Hearts & Goals - Uniting Clubs and Communities against Sudden Cardiac Arrest

AED Locator is proud to announce its support for the Hearts & Goals campaign recently launched by Arrhythmia Alliance and Bolton Wanderers Football Club.  The campaign is to reduce deaths from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), the UK's biggest killer.

Bolton Wanderers footballer, Fabrice Muamba, came under the national spotlight in March 2012 when he collapsed mid-game at White Hart Lane stadium.  He had suffered a SCA.  Fortunately Fabrice was treated at the pitch and after CPR and multiple shocks with an AED, his heart started beating again.

Following this near tragic incident, Bolton Wanderers Football Club (BWFC) decided to take some action to prevent future loss of life, and approached Arrhythmia Alliance.  Since then BWFC has chosen Arrhythmia Alliance as their national charity for the 2012/13 season and have kick-started the Hearts and Goals Campaign - see the image above showing Fabrice Muamba (centre) holding a Heartsine defibrillator along with Daniel Beach and Steve Hayes from Arrhythmia Alliance.  To read more, click on the links below.
