Bishops Lydeard gets Public Access Defibrillator donated in memory of Villager Bob Dingle.

This life-saving emergency equipment is located at Bishops Lydeard Village Hall on Mount Street.  The postcode for Sat Nav users isTA4 3LH.

Local resident Bob Dingle sadly passed away from heart failure in February 2012.  His family decided that they wanted to do something in his memory and set about raising money to buy a community defibrillator.  The money was raised by a host of activities including a fun day, a bingo night as well as a donation from the health and well-being budget of Somerset County council memberCllr Mike Rigby.

Training days will be organised in the near future for local residents with the Heartstart group to show them how to use the defibrillator if it is needed in an emergency.
